Methodology: 4 Pronged 360° framework

Over the years I have had numerous formal and informal counseling sessions with people from different backgrounds caught in variety of situations. They would come depressed, anxious, scared etc. and no matter what was causing this it was either effected by or effecting another aspect of their life. So if the mind was unhealthy/preoccupied/under pressure, it impacted them physically and financially and the other way around as well.

Unfortunately, they were so focused or lost in the apparent problem that they never figured out the root cause of the issue. Since they didn’t understand the root cause well enough they weren’t proactive or capable of tackling the effects. Analysis of these counseling sessions and workshops I was part of, gave me a greater understanding of the problems. It helped me come up with an approach which I call the “4 pronged 360 degree framework”. Where the challenge and its impact is looked at from all 4 aspects i.e. Mind, Body, Finance and Spirit.

Questions are asked as to, What is causing the problem? Why is no step or a certain step being taken? Where is the impact? Which is or are the weaker links? How is one doing in the 4 aspects? etc. etc. It is absolutely a practical approach of looking at an individual’s challenges, fears, inhibitions, limitations, strengths, failures, achievements, the past, present future and so on. It helps in clearly looking into every case and evaluate them both objectively and subjectively. Its an amalgamation knowledge gained from ancient such as Bhagwat Gita, modern problem solving techniques from Lean and so on a so forth. This ensures that the best solutions can be offered. This is explained in greater detail in “Why Life Coaching?” section in “Founder’s Desk”. Its unique yet relatable and simple.

For me the life coaching profession is a way of creating another happy and content soul in this world, with the hope they will create multiple happier and contended souls and leaving a better world.

1. Healthy Mind… Sthitaprajna (स्थितप्रज्ञ)

A healthy mind is key to Happiness. Its is the key to success for everyone. Without a healthy, cool and calm mind one’s ability to think clearly and make decisions is heavily impacted. Without clarity in thoughts you cannot separate “good from bad”, “right from wrong”, “true from false” and so on. Your wrong decisions are mostly a result of you not able to think through clearly. Over a period of time you keep making these judgment errors and then it becomes to difficult to handle.

Barring a few rare exceptions, losing the happiness quotient is not a one-day affair. It’s a gradual process, like “Sinking in a quick sand” or being the “Frog in the Boiling water”. Its like, you feel the discomfort, you are in pain, but you ignore it hoping things will fix on their own or you are too shy to talk about or didn’t find the right person or forum to discuss the problem etc. When you are deeper into the problem you cannot find solutions because you are not able to figure out what direction to look for and what steps to take.

Happiness club focuses on helping people tackle these situations at the various stages of the problem and excavate why is this happening?

Objectives:

a) Proactively identifying the potentially negative situations
b) When it is at your door step
c) When you are in it and struggling
d) When you are in it and when you neck deep and feel it is all over

With a healthy mind you won’t allow a problem to enter your door in the first place. However even if it does you are able to face it confidently, boldly and defeat it! Yes, I am confident that we can still sort it out “When you are neck deep” (option d).). But I am sure being you would prefer to raise an alarm early. So do not lose hope “Come, let’s have a chat!

a) One on One counseling session
b) Counseling with family
c) Webinars/Seminars and sessions
d) Skill enhancement trainings

2. Healthy Body… Aarogya (आरोग्य)

Whether one maintains a good physical health regime or not they definitely know it is important. Physical health compliments Mental health and visa versa. An upset or acidic stomach will not let you concentrate on your work, which will affect the quality of your work, affect your mood, your relationships. It may not follow the chronology but it will have an effect for sure. This will aggravate if one is already in stress! A slouching shoulder, a weak lower back, hamstring and quad muscle, a constant headache will always impact your work and relationship and thereby hinder your progress and growth.

Happiness club emphasizes and prioritizes preventive care and takes the “Prakritik Chikitsa” i.e. ” Naturopathy” route. A close to nature, non-chemicalized healing process. It’s a natural way to detox, rejuvenate and strengthen the physical body. Whether one is physically ill or not they should aim to maintain a toxin free body and to remain toxin free must detoxify every once in a while.

The treatment and services that we offer are:

a) Shat Karma – 1st level detoxification method; Helps greatly in preventive care
b) Massages – Improves blood circulation, reduces stiffness, improves flexibility, reduces pain, refreshes skin
c) Diet Management – Helps in fixing digestion related issues, body weight issues, diabetes care
d) Vasti / Oil treatments – Helps relaxing and gradually eliminating pain
e) Life style disorders – Digestive issues, Diabetes Type-2, Sleep related issues, Energy levels, Addictions

At this point its important for us to highlight that we don’t particularly dislike any form of medicine or recommend any of our friends to use or not to use any kind of medicine. However we strongly believe that staying medicine free particularly chemical based ones is the right way of living a healthy life.

3. Healthy Finances… Arthashastra (अर्थशास्त्रम्)

You may belong to any economic strata of the society if you do not manage your finances well, you will suffer the consequences. A discipline in finance, a right mindset and approach towards money or wealth goes a long way in building a better and stronger you and society. Unless you have decided to become a “Monk” and have chosen asceticism and decided to live completely by nature (which by the way is not a bad thing), you will have to maintain a good financial health. We strongly believe that a good mental health is the key to making sound financial decisions and vice versa. Under this program we provide you guidance to manage your finances so that you have lesser worries.

In fact, when you have managed your finances well, you can focus on enjoying life in the best way.

We have a range of products on offer that can be customized to your specific needs and you can ensure that:

a) Provides stability and balance to your financial status
b) Opportunity to grow or acquire wealth with managed risk
c) Protecting you, your family members and wealth
d) FIRE i.e. Financial Independence Retire Early so that you can follow your passion

Remember you make money so that it can aid your happiness, but its not “The Happiness”.

4. Healthy Sprit and Spirituality… Sar (सार)

Modern world has already realized the importance of spirituality. A spiritual person creates no enemy, no conflicts and experiences calmness and satisfaction in life. A spiritual person has greater ability to handle various situations in life. He or She doesn’t get into tussle with life, focuses inwards and keeps an open mind. You get rid of the mindset that appreciates any kind of corrupt practices. Some people are born with a slightly higher spiritual understanding some are less, but it is for everybody to experience and learn. Activities like Yoga, Pranayama, Bhakti etc. lead us to becoming a spiritual being. It automatically connects you with larger goals in life. It helps you to ignore and let go unnecessary desires and individuals. It makes you someone who is “Sthitaprajña (स्थितप्रज्ञ)”. Through my various travels to various auspicious places in Bharatvarsh which I also call “Energy centers” and interaction with a plethora of diverse people I have realize what spirituality is. These experiences have made me more aware and at the same time helped me balance my life. This has given me a feeling of freedom and hence I thought this had to be shared with the world. Without being spiritual it is impossible to be happy. So come join us and lets together enjoy the nectar of spirituality together.
